Local Values
Life:
I fight to support the dignity and worth of every human life. We cannot achieve the single greatest American ideal of “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness” without first protecting life itself.
2nd Amendment:
I defend the 2nd Amendment. The right to protect oneself and their family is a fundamental natural right. Regardless of if you seek arms for sport, hunting, or protection, I stand with you and will never stop fighting for you.
Taxes:
I am for low taxes. Our problems will never be solved by more and more government spending. Missourians already send record amounts of tax money to Jefferson City. While Washington has passed comprehensive tax reform, Missouri has lagged behind. As a result, our state tax system punishes those who work the hardest and those who save. We need comprehensive tax reform that is fair, family friendly, and finite.
Regulation:
I serve to free up job creators and small businesses from government bureaucracy and red tape. Government cannot create jobs, but it can keep jobs from being created.
Education:
I have a very diverse educational background. I grew up going to Noel Elementary School and was then home schooled through high school. I attended a public college (Crowder College), public university (Missouri Southern), and graduated from a private university (Liberty University.) As a direct beneficiary, I understand the immense value of education. I also know from personal experience that there is not a one size fits all solution. The authority and decision making is best placed at the local level with elected school boards, teachers, and ultimately parents.
Religious Liberty:
Religious freedom is the freedom upon which America was founded. Unfortunately, there is a growing sense in our culture that states religious liberty is not worthy to be respected, much less defended. Many have made their view clear: either bow to the ethics and holdings of the modern age or suffer the consequences. Religious liberty is a fundamental, natural right of every person and I will always stand strong to defend it.
